Complex of Silesian International Schools offers you and your child education at the world's highest level. As the only school in Silesia, we offer you a complete range of education, from primary education to high school and high school graduation, according to two well-known and appreciated programs all over the world. They are: the Cambridge International Examinations Program and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.
Our school obtained the University of Cambridge International Examinations certificate in 2007. This institution (now: Cambridge Assessment International Education) is the largest organization dedicated to educating children and youth in the world, operating in 150 countries. Our school offers this program already at the stage of primary education, ending with a stage corresponding to the British middle school:
The only school in the Silesia region that offers education at all levels - from kindergarten through high school. This Katowice complex of international schools implements two world-renowned programs - British (Cambridge International) and IB. It offers both Polish and two international high school diplomas: the British diploma, i.e. International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), and International Baccalaureate Diploma. The school has extensive experience in both programs - it introduced them in 2007. It also offers an extensive program of extracurricular sports activities. Students have access to psychological assistance and counselling. The school's educational philosophy is holistic, interdisciplinary, and individualized education, which aims to educate young people comfortbale in the modern world and able to easily deal with its challenges. The school collaborates with three examination centers: Cambridge (the English language), Goethe Institute (German) and Cervantes Institute (Spanish) to help students obtain these language certificates. The British program students wear school uniforms.

Central to your child's school experience is the underlying curriculum taught in the classroom. "Curriculum" refers to both what is taught and how it's taught. When considering the different curricula outlined in the next few pages, keep in mind that few schools fall neatly into one category or another. Most schools' curricula comprise a blend of best practices drawn from multiple curriculum types. Having said that, most schools do have a general overall curriculum type. These are identified for each school on OurKids.net.
Primary Curriculum: ProgressiveProgressive (sometimes called "inquiry based" or "discovery based") curricula use students' interests and their natural curiosity as the driver for instruction. Teachers provide materials, experiences, tools and resources necessary for students to investigate a topic or issue. Students are then encouraged to explore, reflect on their findings, and discuss answers, solutions, and insights.

Formal adjustments are made to the delivery of lessons to help mitigate the learning difficulty or exceptionality. The underlying content and expectations remain unchanged with accommodations, however.
