Monnet International School is the first school complex in Poland offering the International Baccalaureate Organization programmes at all levels: kindergarten, primary school, middle school and secondary school. The continuation of the programme and well qualified staff provide the highest quality of international education.
This school, which is located in Warsaw, was founded in 1992. It was one of the first in Poland to offer an international education from kindergarten to high school, consistent with the standards of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Monnet’s mission is to educate students to be citizens of the world, and to teach them to be knowledgeable and astute critical thinkers. At the same time, it aims to teach crucial values such as tolerance, empathy, and social responsibility. Moreover, in addition to traditional academics, education focuses on social, physical, emotional, and cultural development. Monnet uses the core curriculum of the Polish Ministry of education and the International Baccalaureate program. Classes at the school are conducted in two languages: English and Polish.
Monnet International School is a private school in Warsaw founded in 1992, one of the first schools in Poland to offer children and youth - from kindergarten to high school - international education in accordance with the highest standards of the International Baccalaureate (IB) organization, thus ensuring continuity of the IB system. The mission of the school is to educate world citizens, widely educated, critical and open to knowledge, as well as tolerant, empathetic and socially responsible. In the education process, the school represents an interdisciplinary approach and focuses students' social, physical, emotional, and cultural development. The school comprises three educational institutions: Paddington Bear International Kindergarten, located on ul. Górska, Private Primary School No. 95 at ul. Stępińska 13, and Jean Monnet Private High School No. 32 at ul. Belwederska 6a. They implement the Polish core curriculum and the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at all its levels: kindergarten and primary school up to the second grade of high school - Primary Years Program (PYP) and Middle Years Program (MYP), as well as high school classes 3 and 4 - the IB Diploma Program (IB DP), thus preparing high school students to obtain an international high school diploma. Classes are conducted in two languages - English and Polish.

Monnet International School in Warsaw, founded in 1992, is one of the oldest private schools in Poland. It’s the first Polish school to offer the IB programme at all levels (and it still does): from preschool to elementary school to high school. Its Diploma Programme started in 2003, Middle Years Programme (MYP) in 2011, and Primary Years Programme (PYP) in 2010. The school’s graduates continue studies at universities in Poland and many other countries, such as Austria, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Canada, Mexico, Romania, Sweden, the UK, USA, and Italy.

Central to your child's school experience is the underlying curriculum taught in the classroom. "Curriculum" refers to both what is taught and how it's taught. When considering the different curricula outlined in the next few pages, keep in mind that few schools fall neatly into one category or another. Most schools' curricula comprise a blend of best practices drawn from multiple curriculum types. Having said that, most schools do have a general overall curriculum type. Primary Curriculum: Liberal ArtsSuch an approach to curriculum shares with traditional programs their emphasis on core knowledge-acquisition, but tends to borrow more best practices from the progressive approach. The goal isn't to prepare students for vocational life, but rather to encourage an appreciation of the benefits of education itself, including academic and personal development. There is an emphasis on knowledge acquisition as well as theoretical and academic learning, but the real focus is on cultivating the intellect.

Formal adjustments are made to the delivery of lessons to help mitigate the learning difficulty or exceptionality. The underlying content and expectations remain unchanged with accommodations, however. When in 1992, I founded the school along with some friends, it was an act of defiance. I had already had thirteen years of teaching experience in a state school. Gradually, over those thirteen years, I formed an image of an ideal school; a wise and pleasant school, where time is not wasted, where discipline favours efficiency of work and is not an objective in itself.
The school of my dreams would be a meeting place for youth with vibrant personalities, who are taught by sensitive and well educated teachers who enjoy their work and teach in a way that interests, inspires, develops and respects the individuality of young people.
I have not forgotten about that defiance and those dreams. The IB programmes help me in remembering these, as it turned out that the programmes are coherent with my own doctrine of teaching.
We are the first school team in Poland offering International Baccalaureate Organization programs at all levels of education, from kindergarten to high school.
At the same time, we are one of the oldest private schools in Poland. We are 25 years old. Diploma Program - Since 2003, Middle Years Program (for young people) - Since 2011, Primary Years Program (for children) - since 2010. Already 12 years we prepare for the IB diploma, and our graduates are studying at the best Polish and foreign universities.
We identify with the philosophy of IBO, which assumes holistic human development. Its symbol is Student Profile IB - a set of ten personality traits, whose strengthening is the goal of IB programs ( Learner Profile ). PYP, MYP and DP on the one hand standardize the requirements and effects of education, guaranteeing a very high level of content. On the other hand, they give immense freedom to students and teachers, inspire self-reliance, creativity, experimentation, cognitive courage and critical thinking.
The strength of IB programs is the combination of standardization and freedom. It captivates us. The student in our schools is confident that he will achieve a high level of educational competency, but also becomes an authentic, not just a declared, subject of the educational process.
