(4) Student Experience

This school offers a great quality of education with an amazing French method. It pushes its students to achieve the best results and is very demanding, yet it offers much support for their success. There are many school trips, both within and outside the country. The success rate is very high, and many graduates attend excellent schools. The lycée fosters friendships that will last a lifetime. Your child will be in a very supportive and accepting school. They offer many extracurriculars, including Model UN; students have traveled to the US to attend conferences where they can win awards that look very good on resumes. The international system is one of the best and has a very high rate of university acceptance. The teachers are wonderful and supportive, offering many solutions and good advice. I would recommend this school to anyone interested in enrolling their child in a French system.

(3.5) School Leadership

The school leadership is among the best. The students see the school leadership as authoritative figures in whom they can confide. They are trusted adults whom the kids respect greatly. The leaders of our school organize many different events and offer numerous solutions to the students. The team is very understanding and caring and excels in communication, whether among themselves or with teachers, students, or parents. They always, without fail, manage to send emails and keep us updated.

(4) Teaching

I think that the teachers sometimes ask a lot, but they push me to do my best. They are very understanding when the student body opposes certain tasks and always listen to what we have to say. They push us to accomplish our goals and get into the best schools. They are very good at communication and respond to emails with remarkable speed. They have extremely qualified teachers in all domains, such as the sciences, mathematics, and history. The French teachers are extremely understanding with less advanced French students and offer many solutions, including extra classes. They have the students' best interests at heart. The French level is quite high but can be adapted to the child's capabilities. The teachers are very good, and they're a reason why I'd recommend the school.

(4) Academics

Sometimes the workload might be a bit demanding, but the teachers are always very understanding. They give homework, and there are many tests along with the official exams that follow the French education system. It is all worth it, as the French diploma is highly valued by many excellent universities, as well as in France, where universities are excellent and not as expensive as those abroad. The French system can help you get into many programs and encourages you to apply to as many extracurriculars as possible. For them, it is not only a matter of grades but also sports, culture, and international relations. Here in the Lycée Français, you will see all of that. They bring out the best in us and push us to branch out.

(4.5) Extracurriculars

I am in Model UN. It is an extracurricular activity for English-speaking students who wish to learn more about international relations and broaden their cultural and general knowledge. With this group, you may travel to other commissions in New York, across Canada, or even to Chicago. This extracurricular allows students to visit many historical sites and discover new cities, along with the possibility of winning awards.

(4) Students

The students who tend to struggle a bit are those who are not fluent in French; however, many services are offered to them to encourage and support them in doing their best. The student body is fairly small, so we all feel like family. Many children have been here for their entire school life, forming a sibling-like bond with other students while also welcoming new students into the family. Most students who excel at this school are fluent in French and are driven and dedicated to their studies. However, no matter which group you belong to, you will succeed—it all depends on how much time and effort you are willing to put in and sacrifice. I recommend this school to everyone.

(4) School Life

I would take the visitors to our science rooms. The technology and lab rooms are highly developed, with extensive equipment that allows students to pursue their scientific careers. The technology room has many wires, hard drives, phones, computers, and a good amount of building equipment available for the students, along with a very dedicated technology teacher who encourages them to pursue tech and IT. The science labs have a lot of equipment and lab coats that allow for many experiments. The science teachers have a remarkable approach to teaching through videos, activities, and experiments. The experiments are generally very entertaining as well as educational, allowing students to learn and have fun simultaneously. These rooms are truly amazing, and I would definitely show them.

(4) Community

The small student body allows for very close relationships between students, who are as close as family. The staff are considered trusted adults whom we can confide in if we have an issue. The doors are always open for us to speak our minds without fear of judgment. This school is a safe space for many of us. I think that many students feel accepted, no matter their cultural backgrounds, due to the great diversity. This diversity, however, does not separate the student body but instead encourages students to discover new cultures, which is an advantage and a great opportunity for the kids. I am not implying that everyone is friends; however, everyone is at least polite and cordial, cooperating in projects and groups when needed.

(4) School Location

Students from Grade 9 and above are allowed to exit school grounds during their breaks. In the area, there are many restaurants that offer a wide variety of foods, along with a Shoppers Drug Mart and a Dollarama, as well as many stations and bus stops that allow students to get around easily. These restaurants generally offer great food and a large selection.

(5) Admissions

As an international school, the application process was smooth and without issues. It was an easy application with an even easier integration. The school is very accustomed to welcoming new students, and the kids here do it effortlessly, eager to get to know you. The communication is excellent, and there is nothing to report regarding the application process. Unlike other schools, this process is stress-free and worry-free, assuring your child's entrance into the school—truly remarkable.
