Annual Skating Day for Bond's Grades 2 to 8

On the afternoon of February 23rd, Bond Elementary had our annual Skating Day event in a local community centre. Students from Grades 2 to 8 went to enjoy a fun afternoon with their teachers, some of their parents and local police officers.

Students enjoyed the free skating. Some of them practiced their speed skating skills, while others went on the ice for the first time. A few Bond teachers volunteered to coach our rookies on how to skate on the ice.

As a tradition, students had some short track races after the free skating. Based on their grades, they were grouped to race against each other. During the race, students were cheering for their friends, especially for the ones who joined the race for the first time.

The most exciting part was the speed skating relay race between the Bond student teams, the Bond parents team, and the Bond teachers with the Police Officer's team. Everyone had a fun and exciting afternoon, and they look forward to the next time.
