Jump Rope for Heart Fundraising Totals
This year, our school had 32 students participate in Heart & Stroke Jump Rope for Heart and we raised $2,081.00 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation – thanks for your support! Well done GAA! We are excited to continue to awareness and Jump Rope spirit at our Jump Fun Day on June 14th! Please remember to wear red to show your heart healthy support!
Gauss Math Contest Results
Grade 6,7 and 8 students participated in the University of Waterloo's Gauss Math contest and the results are in. A select few of our students earned special outstanding certificates of distinction, and all participants will earn a certificate of recognition. The following students placed in the top 25%: Spencer O'Keefe, Greysen Vanin, Nicole Kerfont, Mya Nardone, and Aiden Cardoso. Congratulations! Placing in the top 10% are Holly Stranges and Paige LeBlanc - well done! We are proud to recognize the mathematical participation of all students at GAA!
The Guass contest is completed yearly in grades 7-8 in order to introduce students to this important national contest, as well as to gain familiarity with the Centre for Mathematics and Computing at the University of Waterloo. Students are excited to have participated and contributed to this important event!
