Happy New Year!

Green Team

In Green Team this month, members will be discussing the value of New Years resolutions with an eco-twist. We will be creating our own eco- resolutions to practice at school and at home to ensure we are doing our part to keep a clean and healthy environment.

Literacy Month

In order to prepare for our upcoming Literacy Day celebrations on January 27th, students will be engaged in literacy activities throughout the month. Our school will be holding a book drive to collect reading materials for children in need through the Children’s Book Bank. Students will enjoy “pop-up reading” times in their classrooms, to just drop everything and read! Students will also be creating book recommendation Tweets for the MAC board. The winning class will earn a special trip to the Children’s Book Bank in Toronto, collecting books for those in need! On January 27th, all staff and students are welcome to dress up as their favourite literary character. Happy reading to all!

H2 Crew

As we recognize the H2 value of Inclusion this month, H2 Crew is hard at work on our Great Kindness Challenge week, being held from January 23-27, 2017. They will deliver updates about the kind gestures and events taking place throughout our school community!
