Model UN Conference

The Model UN experience is based on a willingness to learn and an interest in global issues. Glenn Arbour Academy students participated in this exciting event, which was hosted by students at Assumption Catholic Secondary School. Students worked hard to research global issues including the refugee crisis, ISIS and climate change. They presented research findings at the event together with over 50 grade  and 8 peers. Grade 7 student Holly Stranges earned "Best Delegate" for her insightful contributions to the Model UN discussions. Grade 8 student Ben Presswood earned "Honourable Mention" for his enthusiasm and structured responses to questions of important global significance. Students had the valuable opportunity to engage with peers in meaningful debate and conversation about issues that affect them and the world around them. We are thrilled to be participating in this exciting event again next year with the students at Assumption Catholic S.S.
