Montreal Trip

Grade 7/8 Montreal Trip: May 24-27

From May 24-27, twelve of the Grade 7/8 students traveled to Montreal for an exciting and educational French language experience. Bus and walking tours included visits to the Notre Dame Basilica, a historical based "Ghost Walk," poutine tastings in Old Montreal and Montreal City Hall visit, F1 Grand Prix Race Track & La Ronde Bus visit, Bio Dome and Botanical Garden viewing, Montreal Olympic Stadium panoramic sight seeing, shopping on Rue St. Catherine, and a special IMAX viewing at the Montreal Science Centre. Students also had the opportunity to buy some famous bagels from St-Viateur Bagel Shop on their way out of the city. The group stayed at a downtown hotel close to all exciting amenties. Students enjoyed structured free time in the Old Quarters and put their language learning skills to the test in their daily interactions with French Speaking natives and locals. Students were encouraged to put their French Language skills to use at local eateries and with Montreal locals. A fun and educational experience was had by all!
