U14 Girls Basketball finals

Our girls were extremely “pumped” for the finals from day 1. They practiced very hard 3 times a week for the whole year. They finished their season undefeated and blew every teams’ “socks off”. Our girls are very skilled and make an amazing team. Their coaches dedicated themselves to leading this team, and they were successful. The girls went into the finals strong and ready and came out with smiling faces and a bright blue banner.

All of us at bond are proud of them for achieving what they have worked toward.  The girls started the first half of the game 21-9 for Bond. In the second half, the rival team, UMS, made a recovery and quickly scored 22 points. Under loads of pressure one of our players, Megan Ing, made one of the two foul shots she had to make to tying up the game. In the last one minute and 20 seconds, another player of ours, Irina Belgorodskii, managed to score a basket making the lead 24-22 for Bond. In the last 9 seconds of the game Delina Efrem made an amazing block and held UMS back until the buzzer rang, winning the game.

Indeed it was one of the best ways to win. Bond will continue to work hard to win the banner next year too. Good job Bond!
