Overall Experience 5

My experience at NCC was euphoric. With a classroom size 8-to-1 ratio, I thrived more than ever as teachers could take the extra time with my problem areas. Also, as Christian-based teachers, they seem to have that extra care in your education and more importantly your well-being. NCC is proud to boast their academic teachings as a higher and deeper learning foundation which leads to a 100% University acceptance for graduating students. This school in my books is a "Diamond in the Rough" as it is located on the beautiful Niagara Boulevard in Fort Erie, ON. Planted away from the busyness of the city, it provides the quietness needed to grow both spiritually and mentally. When choosing a private Christian secondary school NCC offers the best return on your investment.

School Leadership 5

Every staff member and administrator signs an oath of belief as a Christian. That stands true in the way they conduct themselves on a daily, offering constructive criticism when needed and also celebrating goals achieved in each student's life. If you are a Christian parent or student you would understand the ethics the staff pitch from. If you are not, please know that the staff are reflecting Christ-like love to the students. No child is less or greater than the other. All are treated equally.

Teaching 5

The teachers are very formal. The small classroom sizes with 8-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio offer the time needed for teachers to spend more one-on-one scenarios with the students. The care shown to me during my time at NCC from the teachers has been life-altering and has well-prepared me for my future endeavours. Learning how to help others and not just yourself was key for my future role in sales as my customers say integrity wins me the business every time. These foundational points I owe all to the teachers who have taken the extra time out of their schedule to engrave in my life portfolio. They really do want you to achieve all your dreams and lifelong goals. I will never forget the teachers that shaped me into who I am today.

Academics 5

NCC boasts a 100% University acceptance rate. The school prides itself on academics. You are challenged to thrive and not just pushed through to graduate. Study Hall in the evenings really helps out with the extra homework load and has a teacher on duty to help with any questions. It's like having your own personal tutor. Whether you lived on or off the campus, study hall was welcomed to all. The teachers put out a tough workload but never left you stranded. If you needed help, they were always there to lend a hand. They prepare you for the toughest obstacles that life will throw at you which will show in your future career. This leads to faster promotions and quicker ladder climbing in your job.

Extracurriculars 5

Having been an athletic enthusiast, NCC has a large offering of every sport. With its international presence, NCC fills the needs of every individual sporting desire. Track and field, soccer, basketball, volleyball and even hockey some years just to list a few of NCC's sports. However, if sports are not in your wheelhouse there are many other extracurricular things to engage in like arts, singing and special clubs to meet your needs.

Students 5

NCC has both local and international students. It was interesting learning all the different cultures at such a young age. I formed long enduring friendships both in Canada and overseas. With smaller classroom sizes you grow a stronger bond with fellow students and not a feeling of being lost in a crowd. You never felt alone or unsupported as fellow Christian students would come alongside you to offer support. You learned to depend on one another which formed a lifelong friend and not just a short-term high school friend. You feel like you are in a club with no judging or bullying but only support and life-building comments. Student life was and is unforgettable at NCC with both local and international students.

School Life 5

School life is very unique as the school has students from different parts of the world attending which adds a special flavour to the campus recipe that you wouldn't find in other local public secondary schools. Every day was someone new to meet with a whole different background which was exciting to learn. Having a dress code is a nice thing as well. You never got made fun of what you had to wear and it was never difficult picking out your clothing. Some had problems with that while others found it very comforting. Talking with other like-minded Christian students, I always enjoyed being able to be open and not fake. I was never judged or made fun of with some of my different views on life. Rather, I felt encouraged and accepted to be who I was.

Community 5

I am still close with a lot of friends that I attended school with. Homecoming at NCC is always a great way to reconnect and have fun playing sports again with fellow alumni. Annual General Meetings are always encouraged to attend as not only an alumni but also a parent to stay connected with campus events. NCC stays very transparent with the community and values the input of parents and alumni to always stay challenged with changes in the educational seasons. Past events like Heritage Day have always been a landmark event within the alumni and Fort Erie region. There would be local arts, foods and crafts that would draw in huge crowds as well as hayrides through the 120 acres of campus land for children of all ages to enjoy.

School Location 5

NCC is located on the beautiful Niagara Boulevard in Fort Erie, ON. It offers a safe place for students to enjoy the beauty of the Niagara River with peace and tranquility. NCC would offer bus rides into the town of Fort Erie for boarding students to shop and pick up supplies needed. It was always nice to have the best of both worlds. Peace of the campus and travel to the city life.

Admissions 5

NCC makes sure that the school is a healthy fit for you. They really make you feel comfortable in the enrolment process and explain things in fine detail. Making sure NCC is the right fit for you is key and it shows with their enrolment and guidance department. Explaining each course, talking about future goals and placing you in the correct classes is pivotal in your success and movement forward to a choice of university. Warmth and open arms are what you will experience in your admission to NCC.
