Scope of activity

Cambridge International Education is the awarding body of the International Education group at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, part of the University of Cambridge.

Cambridge International Education develops, assesses and awards our international programmes and qualifications for students aged 3 to 19 worldwide, including:

Cambridge Pathway

The Cambridge Pathway offers five stages of education from ages 3 to 19:

- Cambridge Early Years, the equivalent of a Polish kindergarten and preschool, for children aged 3-6.

- Cambridge Primary, for children aged 5-11, lasting 6 years. Students can take the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint tests on completion.

- Cambridge Lower Secondary, for children aged 11-14, lasting 3 years. Students can take the Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint tests on completion.

- Cambridge Upper Secondary, for learners aged 14-16, lasting 2 years. Students can sit the Cambridge IGCSE final examinations, earning a Cambridge IGCSE qualification in a given subject.

- Cambridge Advanced, for students aged 16-18, lasting 2 years and culminating in Cambridge International AS & A Level examinations.

Every stage helps learners to thrive in and outside the classroom so that they are ready for the world.

In the Cambridge Pathway, exams are not compulsory, and schools are free to choose subjects in order to best match the educational pathway to their students’ learning needs and the Polish curriculum requirements.

Cambridge International Education qualifications are recognised by top universities and higher education institutions around the world, including nearly 1000 universities in the US and all universities in the UK.

Global Perspectives

Cambridge also offers a ‘Global Perspectives’ course to develop outstanding transferable skills. Through the development of critical thinking, research, collaboration and project work, students examine issues through local, national, and global perspectives. These skills will be valuable in both their future studies and professional careers.
