Class sizes are small, averaging 12 students per class, which means that every student has an exclusive teacher-student focus. “There is a high level of communication between ourselves and the students,” says Michael Booth, principal of the Lawrence Park campus “but also their families. That just wouldn’t be possible logistically in a larger school.” Our low student-to-guidance counsellor ratios enable our teams to offer our high school students an unprecedented level of support.

Each school is a community where every face is familiar, communication is open, and no one gets lost in a crowd. Blyth Academy students graduate with the tools in place for a seamless transition into successful post-secondary academic careers and new ideas that will shape the world.

A great school for each student

The teachers understand that success looks different for every student, which is why education is tailored to the individual student — not the other way around. Small class sizes allow for personalized learning based on individual learning styles. This leads to a student experience that is personal, engaging, and motivating.

Education that goes beyond the classroom

Having partnered with learning institutions in the community, students can learn through active, hands-on participation. “About 30 percent of class time occurs outside of traditional classrooms,” says Michael Booth, Principal of the Lawrence Park campus. “Students take art classes in a local art gallery, natural history in a museum, and athletics in world-class facilities.

Part of a wider network of private schools

Blyth Academy is proud to be a part of the Globeducate network of international private schools, which is recognized worldwide as a leader in private education.
