MESSAGE FROM THE LEADERSHIP
We asked Susan Goode, Founder & Head of School at GlenOak Academy for their message.
They shared an overview of the vision, values, and guiding principles that shape both their leadership and the student experience at GlenOak Academy.

Welcome to another year of GlenOak Academy’s SOAR Program and to our seventh year as a school community!
From our humble beginnings in Mississauga, we have grown from an online school of 3 students to an in-person program with over 25 students in Northern Ontario. We have navigated many changes and challenges along the way, but we have always been motivated by our dedication and commitment to this important program and the incredible impact it has had on our students and their families.
I continue to be immensely proud of the community we have created, our resilience in the face of challenge and change, and our collective commitment to providing educational opportunities that are not only creative and responsive, but which continually represent one of our core values: EXCELLENCE. Our incredible team of educators must be credited for the passion, dedication, and enthusiasm they bring to their classrooms and students each and every day!
As we embark on year seven for GlenOak, we are looking forward to bringing our SOAR Program to more First Nations communities in the north. Indeed, we are at the beginning of an incredible journey and we are honoured to be partnering with our families and staff to achieve this goal.
Here’s to another fabulous year!
Sincerely,
Susan Goode
