Dear GCMS Community,
Shalom!
It is with great joy and humility that I serve as the Head of Grace Christian Montessori School. Our community is a vibrant tapestry of compassion, curiosity, and commitment to learning, where we believe every child is a masterpiece of God, deserving of a nurturing environment that fosters their unique potential.
At GCMS, we emphasize Christian education as our core value, along with gifted education and the Montessori approach, integrated with STEAM learning. We believe that each child is a unique creation of God, possessing distinct strengths and ways of learning. Our dedicated faculty strive to foster a loving and engaging environment that nurtures these diverse intelligences, reflecting our commitment to guiding each child on their individual journey of growth and discovery, both academically and spiritually.
Moreover, we are committed to fostering the Fruits of the Spirit within our learners—qualities such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These virtues not only reflect the character of Christ but also align with the five future minds identified by Dr. Gardner: the disciplined mind, the synthesizing mind, the creating mind, the respectful mind, and the ethical mind.
Our Montessori approach emphasizes hands-on learning and self-directed exploration, which are complemented by our STEAM curriculum. This integration encourages critical thinking and creativity while helping learners develop respect for the natural world and an ethical mindset. By engaging in real-world problem-solving, learners cultivate both the disciplined mind and the creating mind, preparing them to navigate complex challenges with confidence.
In a rapidly changing environment, we recognize the importance of equipping our learners with resilience and adaptability. Our school embodies Christian values, emphasizing love, respect, and service to others, as we strive to provide a 21st-century education that empowers our learners to make meaningful contributions to their communities.
I invite you to join us on this journey as we cultivate self-identity, cultural understanding, and a lifelong love for learning. Together, we can inspire our children to imagine and create a brighter future. Thank you for being the best companion for your precious child. Your support and partnership are truly a blessing as we embark on this educational journey together.
I look forward to connecting with you and sharing in the wonderful experiences that lie ahead at Grace Christian Montessori School. Together, we will nurture both the minds and hearts of our learners, guiding them to grow into compassionate, curious, and confident individuals who reflect Christ’s love.
Welcome to our community, where we strive to inspire each child to fulfill their God-given potential!
Love in Christ,
Dr. Ivy Fung
