How to be brave and never give up

Tangible gesture of solidarity and gratitude! Certainly, It would have a positive impact. 
“To keep Terry Fox’s legacy alive within our school, the Providence Academy students participated in the Terry Fox School Run on Wednesday September 28, 2016. Grade 1 and 2 students ran in the playground while grades 3 to 6 students ran around the school under the supervision of their physical education teachers.

Our students paid gratitude to those they know affected by cancer. This was shown through the names written on their stickers. For example, Pierre from grade 6 ran for his great grandmother Geraldine, and his classmate, Maria, ran for her grandmother. Marie-Joe from grade 5 remembered Mgr. Raymond Hanna on that day, while others ran for cancer patients and sick children.

To end this event, the students wrote messages of gratitude that reflect their feelings after learning about Terry Fox and participating in the run.  For example, Christina in grade 4 feels thankful for her health and the ability to share in many physical activities. As for our grade 3 students, Maribel and Aline, they consider Terry Fox as their hero because he taught them how to be brave and never give up. All the students thanked the scientists and doctors that are working to find a cure for cancer and they agreed that Terry Fox will always be remembered through the Terry Fox Foundation that is working hard to organize all sorts of fundraising events to keep Terry Fox’s dream alive.”
