Logan Demille Grade 10 - Albert College, Current Day Student

Logan Demille has attended Albert College as a Day student since Senior Kindergarten. Soon to be entering into Grade 10 Demille is well versed in what life at Albert College really looks like. 

When asked what separates Albert College from other schools, Demille narrows it down to the student-teacher relationship. “The exclusivity the teachers share with their students allows for a more personal relationship. The students and faculty here are more like a family than teachers and pupils.” Demille is actively preparing for post-secondary education. He is planning to study both business and engineering at the university level. “Our teachers continue to prepare for us for all aspects of life. I feel prepared and capable of achieving my post-secondary goals.” 

Demille enjoys the opportunities that come with being enrolled at an independent school. He describes the teacher’s at AC as innovative. “Teachers will take you out of the classroom environment and apply the lesson in another way, to make sure you understand the concept, like teaching math while playing baseball.” 

In addition to academics, Demille embraces all of Albert’s ‘A’s.  He enjoys volunteering in his community and looks forward to participating in the arts and in active citizenship, where AC students fundraise to support others at events, such as “Sleep Out So Others Can Sleep In.” Other exciting opportunities exist through outdoor adventure trips. Demille is working towards his Duke of Edinburgh Award and enjoys being challenged by his environment. 

“The other really cool part about attending boarding school” says Demille “is learning about different cultures and meeting new students from all over the world.”
