RHMS at Zone 01 Robotics Competition

RHMS students impressed at the regional robotics competition.

Grade 6 and Grades 7/8 robotics teams competed at the regional Zone 01 Robotics Competition for the first time ever, April 2019. 

The competition draws teams from all over the GTA to compete in different programming challenges. This year the teams competed in the SUMO robot challenge (where two robots challenged each other to stay the longest on the Sumo mat), third alarm challenge (where they needed to rescue people from a “burning building”) and the aerial ladder challenge (where they needed to create a robot that could climb a ladder).

All the robotics teams can be commended for their team work, great spirit and enduring perseverance. A congratulations goes out to the Grade 6 teams for winning many of their sumo challenges.
