Taking a course with OVS was a great experience for me. I chose OVS because my regular day school had no open spots in the online chemistry course I needed. One of the best parts of learning with OVS was how organized everything was and how quickly the teacher responded to questions. My teacher was always kind, helpful, and quick to mark assignments, which made the course run smoothly. I also used the practice tests and online textbooks, which helped deepen my understanding of the material. The school office and student success team were also very helpful throughout the process. My final marks were sent to Ontario colleges for admissions. Honestly, the experience was perfect, and I wouldn’t change a thing.
School Leadership 4.5
Reflecting back on my time at Ontario Virtual School, what stood out to me about the school leadership and administration was how supportive and responsive they were. They helped me with important details like explaining the exam process and clarifying how my grades were calculated, and they were happy to send any necessary documents when needed. The administration communicated clearly with both students and parents and always treated students with respect. Their professionalism and willingness to help built a sense of trust and confidence in their leadership. Overall, they created a positive, well-organized environment that made the experience smooth and stress-free. For any prospective families, I would say the administration at OVS is dependable, respectful, and truly invested in student success.

They provided helpful and constructive feedback on assignments, which allowed me to improve and deepen my understanding. The dynamic between the teacher and students was respectful and professional, making it easy to reach out whenever I had questions. My teacher was kind, supportive, and always quick to respond, which kept me motivated and on track. Overall, the experience helped me develop a stronger understanding of the subject, and I felt challenged in a way that encouraged me to perform my best throughout the course.

Teachers provided helpful feedback and were always available for support. I felt challenged and prepared for my next steps, gaining strong time management and self-discipline skills that will benefit me in the future. The course was also not rushed, which made a big difference in my experience. I had over 300 days to complete it, giving me the freedom to learn at my own pace. My teacher was respectful of this flexibility and supportive throughout, never pressuring me to move faster than I was ready for. This helped me stay motivated and confident in my learning.

The application process was entirely online, which made it simple and efficient. I didn’t find the process stressful at all. The admissions officers were very helpful and worked with me to ensure the school was the right fit. The payment process was straightforward as well, with no complications. Overall, the application experience was smooth and well-organized, making it easy to get started with the program.
University placement and counselling 4.5
I didn’t use the university counselling program at Ontario Virtual School, so I can’t speak to that experience directly. However, I did feel supported in other areas of my learning. The teachers were always available to answer questions, and the structure of the courses helped me stay on track. If I had utilized the university counselling services, I would have hoped for timely and helpful guidance on the university application process. Receiving advice early on would have been valuable in ensuring I was well-prepared for my post-secondary applications, especially for my first-choice programs. Though I didn’t use the counselling services, the flexibility and clear course structure helped me stay focused. I believe additional university-specific support would have added reassurance during the application process.
