(4.5) Student Experience
My experience at OVS was amazing. The teacher was really nice, and they taught me a lot. The school and teacher emailed back fast and helped with the work. They were very quick to get back to me and post my marks into OUAC. My grades were amazing, and I would recommend OVS to others. If you are looking for a school that is at your own pace and speed, this is the school for you. The process of enrolling in this school was super easy and efficient, and the workload was perfect for me. The lessons were also super helpful, and anytime I needed to go back to look at them, it was super easy to find. Online, the navigation was very organized and easy to use. I would definitely recommend it.
(4) School Leadership
I do respect the school leaders, such as the headmaster, guidance counsellors, and especially the teachers. My teacher did an amazing job teaching and helping me with questions. She answered all my emails, and the drafts had amazing feedback that helped me do better on the next assignments. There isn’t anything I wish they could have done better. Even calling the school was super efficient and fast; no one put me on hold, and they all knew how to answer my questions.
(4.5) Teaching
I don’t think the teachers asked too much because the work and instructions were super straightforward, and even if I did have a question, she made it easier for me to understand. I always know what the teachers are expecting of me because every assignment that is posted and required of me to do has the rubric attached. On the rubric, it says exactly how to get the mark you want. When the teachers talk about success, I feel like they imagine helping us with resources to get the mark that we want. I think they mean helping us with questions or assignments that we are not really understanding well enough. They also want to help us get the mark we are aiming for.
(4.5) Academics
I think the work can be too easy but also too hard. Personally, I felt some assignments were easy, but there were also some assignments that felt too hard. Some assignments I felt like I could easily complete, but then there were also a few assignments that took a really long time and were very hard. At the end of the course, looking back, I feel like the work was just right because I wasn’t too stressed from all the work, but it wasn’t too easy to the point where I could relax and do basically nothing. In the course, overall, I have learned how to properly use in-text citations as well as properly cite them at the end for the works cited page.
(4) School Life
(5) Admissions
The admission process was super easy. For midterms, as soon as the teacher finished marking all the tests and assignments, they uploaded the grades to OUAC themselves. I could also request the midterm report card, and it was sent to me the same day. For finals, it was the same procedure; once everything was marked, the school sent it out. My personal application was easy, too. I only needed to input OVS under my schools, and then OUAC did everything else for me, so it wasn’t hard.
