If you are looking for a school where teachers respect the stages in child development, where the goal is to inspire learning not just deliver content, and where wonder and imagination are vital tools in engaging students, then you should find out more about Waldorf Academy.
At Waldorf Academy, our academic curriculum is enriched by recesses that are 45 minutes long; some afternoons are reserved for nature walks; children and students are given time to understand themselves and the world around them. We believe that young people benefit when they experience the world as an amazing place. Our low-tech environment is a result of our belief that there will be plenty of time for virtual reality after children are acquainted with actual reality. It works: you can ask our grade 7 & 8 students about their week-long wilderness canoe trip—but you will have to wait until they get back... there’s no phone service in real world adventure.
