At Blyth Academy, we believe that travel during the teenage years is an essential part of a well-rounded education. Enrolling your teen in our Japan summer travel program not only allows them to earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) credit but also to experience the world firsthand.:
The group begins their month-long adventure in Osaka, where they will be immersed in Japanese culture from the very first day. Spend the following days exploring iconic sites such as Osaka Castle, the Umeda Sky Building, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, and the temples of Itsukushima Shrine. After discovering the city's wonders and enjoying a delightful Kushikatsu cooking class, travel to Kyoto to explore its temples and participate in a traditional Kimono tea ceremony. The journey concludes in Tokyo with a visit to Tokyo Disneyland, a Ninja Samurai experience, city tours, and a final dinner in Shinjuku, featuring traditional Japanese dancers.
Here's what a typical looks like on the Japan trip:
Morning: Travel to Hiroshima via high-speed train for a reflective visit to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, Genbaku Dome, and other historic sites. Immerse yourself in the city’s legacy of resilience and remembrance.
Afternoon: Experience hands-on teppan cooking at the WoodEgg Okonomiyaki Museum and explore the stunning Itsukushima Shrine, with its famous “floating” torii. Later, return to Osaka via high-speed train.
