Improving your drive on an onsite or local driving range, where campers may work one-on-one with instructors and learn through repetition, as well.
Instruction on the putting green, where kids and teens receive instruction focused on mechanics and form, and also through repetition and regular play.

Kids in golf camp play and deal with a variety of personalities, and interact both competitively and cooperatively.
Self-evaluation and self-management. As a player progresses through a game, they'll gauge their reactions. They develop their awareness of the importance of a positive attitude and adjusting self-talk, as well as what they say to others.
Goal setting and self-improvement. Kids and teens will set goals and understand how to achieve those as well as dealing with setbacks and disappointments. Of course, this is a benefit common to all sports camps. These skills, though, have implications for academics and other situations.

Things to consider about golf camps

What golf equipment are campers expected to bring? Some camps may, in fact, discourage kids from bringing their own clubs, to even the field among campers from different economic backgrounds.

How experienced are instructors in teaching golf? Camps run by former professionals, for example, allow campers to meet and learn from those who have risen through the ranks. Pro circuit experience is not necessarily an indication of how well they teach golf, though. The real success of a golf camp is indicated by factors like the success of graduates, and the words of graduating campers who attest to how much they’ve learned. How are campers grouped? Some camps group golf students based on age, while others group players based on handicap and skill level.
