This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

Independence: At Wenonah, campers are celebrated for who they are and encouraged to explore new challenges. They discover new passions and build confidence as they step outside their comfort zones. With support, they learn that with determination and self-belief, they can achieve anything they set their minds to.
Physicality: Participants are challenge to enhance their physical skills through training in canoeing, climbing, swimming, kayaking, and sailing. This month-long experience culminates in a week-long canoe trip to Algonquin Park, allowing campers to apply their skills in a dynamic outdoor setting.

The POLARIS program offers participants advanced training and certification in core Wenonah activities, including canoeing, kayaking, swimming, sailing, and outdoor leadership. Over the course of the month, participants engage in personal skill development, focusing on achieving national and provincial certifications, such as ORCKA canoeing levels and Lifesaving Society awards.

A highlight of the program is the seven-day canoe trip to Algonquin Park, where participants learn essential outdoor living skills and take on leadership roles. Supervised by experienced staff, each participant practices navigation and coordination while receiving ongoing support and feedback, ensuring a rich and rewarding experience that fosters both personal growth and a deep appreciation for nature.
