About this Overnight Camp

This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Interpersonal skills: Our small units and highly trained staff help campers as they work together.
  • Tolerance: At Camp Big Canoe we strive to embody the "Spirit of Camp Big Canoe". Respecting each other and the land we are using is core to who we are.

Our day starts with a swim in the lake and a paddle in the canoe.  Morning watch, breakfast in the lodge and unit rotations fill out the morning.  Rotations consist of traditional camp activities: canoeing, kayaking, swimming, crafts, archery, low ropes and more!  In the afternoon campers get to choose individual interest activities or work towards a level in our activities.  Evening programs and then a comfortable sleep in our new raised platform beds fill out the day at Camp Big Canoe.
