In the world of AI technology we need to ensure we continue to develop our power to critically think. Students will be guided through a series of fun hands-on activities and discussions around the current personal flight machines available and what would need to be consider to make this a mainstream reality. Each session will revolve around children designing and testing an aspect of flight (e.g. wings, weather, weight, control) and then share their results with each other. We will consider how to coordinate arriving to school and what safety measures would need to be considered. These are active and fun sessions designed for everyone regardless of level of ability in science or awareness of flight.
This is a 10-week workshop with each session running for two hours to allow time for design, experimentation and discussion. All materials will be provided and discussion questions will be brought home to share the ideas and experiences with families.
The workshop will be closed on April 19th for the Easter break.
