GNAG provides a wide range of programs and camps for children aged 4 to Grade 11. Located in the heart of downtown Ottawa, we have served a large and diverse community for the last 50 years. We have traditional theme-based camps with many out-trips. Our specialty camps cover visual art, pottery and theatre arts, cooking, sports, tennis, STEM, leadership and counsellor-in-training. and adventure-based activities. With experienced instructors and a welcoming atmosphere, kids can explore creativity, build skills, and make lasting friendships. Programs focus on fun, personal growth, and community connection in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Our camps run July and August, and our programs run September to June in Fall, Winter & Spring.

GNAG is a not-for-profit organization that provides diverse recreational, cultural, and social programs and camps for all ages, with a strong focus on quality and meaningful connections. We strive to make GNAG a cherished part of every child’s summer memories.
We bring this vision to life by actively listening to feedback, upholding high training standards, and ensuring our leaders genuinely care. Our philosophy is simple: we meet every child where they are, responding to their individual needs with the ultimate goal of making them happy. Year after year, we hear families call GNAG their “home away from home” and their “second family”—a testament to the welcoming, supportive community we work hard to create.
GNAG Traditional and Specialty Camps and Programs currently has 31 programs available; 22 TBD.

Our staff are passionate and committed to making every child’s summer magical. Many of our staff and participants were once children in our camps which gives them a unique perspective.
Our management team has 142 years of experience in recreational programming, and we mentor our staff by providing opportunities for growth. Our experienced managers don’t just sit in an office, they are hands-on.
Our staff Ratios are 1:8 for JK – Gr 2 and 1:10 for Gr 3+.
Our staff all have First Aid CPRC, AODA, Police Record Checks, Emergency Procedures Training, in addition to our recreational training and their years of hands-on experience.
Most of our summer camp staff are returning but we are always keen to hire new people with fresh ideas and skills.
