My child loves going to Hive5. He is always excited to go and I usually have to wait on him at pick-up time because he does not want to leave. He has made new friendships and adores the staff. He is a very active, inquisitive and hands-on learner/child. Hive5 offers engaging and stimulating programs and activities which keep him interested and wanting to come back day after day. His self-confidence has grown in a very short amount of time thanks to the encouragement of the staff and by asking him to take new risks and try new activities he typically would not experience outside of their programming.
We chose Hive5 since they offered a wide variety of STEAM programs and activities which my son was interested in. I also chose Hive5 as I thought they were very reasonably priced for the programs and services they offer. They do a great job of communicating and checking in. I definitely feel like it is a great investment.
Hive5 offers many different games and activities. They have certain focus activities on specific dates, which are clearly communicated ahead of time to parents and children. They offer activities and programs which are geared towards science and technology, engineering, the arts, and math. My child particularly loves their Robotics programs. He also loves building and experimenting with Lego. He combines his love of building with engineering and gets excited to show his creation to others. Hive5 constantly strives to provide new and engaging opportunities to ensure student interest and involvement.
My child has made new friendships with other children who attend Hive5. He often talks about others in his program. The staff is fantastic. They are very in tune with each individual kid's needs. As a parent and as a teacher, I can see how the staff effectively interacts with kids and are quick to problem solve if any issues arise. I always feel my child is in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive place.
My child further developed problem-solving skills as well as communication skills. When working on projects he was encouraged to vocalize his thinking out loud. When faced with a challenge, he was encouraged to persevere and was supported along the way. My child was positively challenged with their robotics program as he learned many new skills which he was not [previously] exposed to. He gets extremely excited for the robotics classes.
The staff has been nothing but amazing. They are great at communicating with me, whether it be through email or by phone. They provide options to pay online or in person and give plenty of notice for payment. Every time I pick up my son, they have huge, welcoming smiles on their faces and communicate any important information from the day with me.
I would highly encourage others to look into this program. I would recommend this program to parents for a variety of reasons. The main reasons are the wide variety of incredibly engaging activities, the warm and welcoming staff, and the reasonable cost. I would also state how much my son has enjoyed Hive5 and his desire to continue to go there.
