The Medics Camp FALCON program empowers teens with essential skills in basic first aid and CPR, while also fostering the confidence and leadership qualities necessary to apply them. FALCON is as much about leadership as it is about first aid. True leaders help others by identifying needs and finding resourceful solutions, whether in medical emergencies or everyday situations. The program emphasizes teamwork, integrity, motivation, and commitment.
Throughout this immersive one-week experience, teens will not only learn life-saving first aid and CPR skills but also have the opportunity to earn Red Cross certification at no additional charge.
First Aid:
The first aid component of FALCON will cover all of the topics found in a traditional Red Cross standard first aid and CPR course.
Leadership:
The leadership component of the camp will have teens learning about themselves, and their leadership styles. They will work in small groups and a larger group to build communication skills, engage in team building activities and role play mock first aid simulations to build their first aid skills, confidence and self-esteem.
The week will present challenges and the FALCON program is designed to teach youth to be prepared to handle not just medical emergencies but every day challenges they will face in life making them better leaders at home, at school and in their communities.
Healthcare Careers:
There are so many more careers available that youth may not be familiar with. If your teens is interested in health and the human body, we'll help introduce them to some very cool healthcare professions!
