About this Day Camp

This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Independence: Sailing is a way to enhance your child's life skill. From the start, it exposes them to the elements, fostering both an appreciation for the natural world and an understanding of how to harness it. The physical and mental requirements of sailing quickly foster perseverance and independence.
  • Responsibility: Sailors learn to adapt to constantly changing environments and assessing more than one factor at once. Changes in wind direction and strength, wave conditions, boat positioning, and how best to control the vessel, are just some of the factors our students learn to consider.

Over these two fun filled weeks, you will learn basic sailing skills, gain lifelong skills and boating fun in a friendly place! Swimming, games, and new friends all add to this great experience! Sailors leave this course with basic sailing skills, knowledge, and are updated on their progress into the levels.
