Jewelry Making for Teens

March 10-14, 2025
Students will learn the foundations of fabrication methods such as sawing, forging, forming, soldering with a small torch, filing and finishing. They will also explore resin, polymer clay, precious metal clay, enamelling, etching, and stamping. The instructor will guide students in designing given projects based on expressive intentions and personal meaning. Students will make pendants, earrings, a bangle, and a bookmark, using copper and brass provided, as well as a Precious Metal Clay (PMC fine silver) and sterling silver ring.
Camp projects:
o Resin (Jesmonite) pendant
o Polymer clay and wire earrings
o Forged leaf earrings
o Brass bangle
o Colourful copper 'cup' studs
o Origami paper earrings and beads
o Etched copper bookmark
o PMC and sterling silver ring
All precious metals and jewelry-making supplies provided.
Note: Please wear casual, well-fitted clothing, no scarves, and long hair must be tied back.
