Expressive Sketching: Art Adventures, ages 13 - 15; Mon, 6 - 8 pm

In this exciting course, teens will dive into the world of sketching using a variety of fun
mediums. We'll explore the expressive potential of different tools including pencils, charcoals, brush pens, watercolors, dry brush techniques, ink, and calligraphy nibs. Students will learn how different lines and techniques can convey emotions and atmosphere in their sketches. We'll focus on capturing the essence of subjects quickly and expressively, developing observational skills, and creating dynamic compositions. By the end of the term, students will have a diverse sketchbook filled with expressive drawings and a newfound confidence in their ability to sketch anything that inspires them.
