Post-Secondary Pathways and Portfolio, Ages 13 - 16; Mon - Fri, 9 am - 4 pm

This course introduces teens who are going into grade 9 to 12 to Post Secondary Visual and Media Arts programs in Apprenticeship, College, and University settings; as well as a range of possible careers that involve the visual arts, crafts, and design. Participants will develop stronger technique while understanding the creative process, compositional strategies and themes suitable to post secondary portfolios. Participants will learn how to make professional competencies part of their portfolios while creating art pieces for specific portfolio requirements and by writing about their art to prepare them for the written statements many Post Secondary programs require. There will be a session with a draped model.
