Uncover the marvels of flight in Wings and Wonders! This half-day camp blends the science of flight with the beauty of nature, inspiring campers to explore how creatures and machines take to the skies.

What to Expect:

• Flight in Nature: Study the flight mechanics of birds, butterflies, and bats. Create flapping wing models and test how different wing shapes affect flight.
• Paper Helicopters & Gyrocopters: Build spinning paper helicopters and gyrocopters to explore lift, drag, and rotational motion.
• Kite Engineering: Design and build custom kites, experimenting with shapes, tails, and materials to achieve the perfect balance for flight.
• Wind Tunnels & Aerodynamic Testing: Use small wind tunnels to test how objects move through the air, learning about air resistance and lift.
• Glider Design Competition: Wrap up the week with a glider design contest—see whose creation can soar the farthest and stay in the air the longest!

The other half of each day will include outdoor activities such as sports, organized group games, nature walks, water-based fun, and creative free-play activities. While some activities may tie into the wonders of flight, the focus will be on keeping kids active, social, and engaged in playful outdoor experiences.
