Stop Motion Creators + Half-Day Activities

Bring your stories to life in Stop Motion Creators! This half-day camp invites young animators to explore the art of stop-motion animation using a variety of creative techniques. Campers will learn how to plan, shoot, and edit their own animated films while experimenting with materials like clay, paper, and found objects.

What to Expect:

• Intro to Stop Motion & Object Animation: Learn stop-motion basics and create simple animations using toys, LEGOs, and household objects.
• Claymation Characters: Design and sculpt your own clay characters, then bring them to life in fun, short animations.
• Cutout Animation: Use paper cutouts to create dynamic moving scenes, experimenting with backgrounds and layering techniques.
• Pixilation & Live Action Animation: Animate yourself and your friends using pixilation techniques to create quirky, stop-motion dance sequences.
• Final Film Festival: Complete your final animation project, edit with sound effects and titles, and showcase your film in a special “Stop Motion Film Festival” for friends!

The other half of each day will include outdoor activities such as sports, organized group games, nature walks, water-based fun, and creative free-play activities. While some activities may tie into animation themes, the focus will be on keeping kids active, social, and engaged in playful outdoor experiences.
