"Branksome Hall is a prestigious institution with a strong commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and global citizenship. However, it might not be the best fit for families who prefer a less rigorous academic program, a coeducational environment, or a traditional educational model.
Families that recognize the value of an inquiry-based IB education in a diverse, urban setting will find alignment at Branksome Hall. Branksome is not a bubble and does not seek to shelter students from real-world events; rather, the school embraces connections to the global community as opportunities to broaden its world-view and engage with multiple perspectives, with an emphasis on critical thinking, collaboration and agency."

"The IB is not just about a comprehensive academic experience. The IB curriculum is adaptable and flexible, providing students the opportunity to personalize their educational experiences by selecting subjects that are a good fit for both their interests and their skill development. Gr. 3 to Gr. 12 — I had a wonderful experience at Branksome. I joined Branksome in the 3rd grade and continued until my graduating year. I truly feel like I grew up at Branksome and had the pleasure of being a part of the community. One thing that stands out is the student support at Branksome. There is a helping hand whenever you look. Branksome truly cares about their students' success and it shows with their dedication to ensuring their students' excellence. Speaking from my personal experience the energy and spirit at Branksome is definitely a fond memory. Branksome truly feels like such a tight-knit community and there are always fun events and community bonding opportunities for all students. I think Branksome does an extraordinary job at preparing students for the future. Just alone with the IB program, I felt so prepared going into university and managing my workload because these were skills that were taught to me from the 7th grade. I learned how I learn, I learned how to study, I learned how to manage my time and also learned how to take care of myself. I think Branksome does an amazing job at producing well-rounded students.
JK to Gr. 12 — My experience at Branksome Hall overall was wonderful. I had many supportive teachers throughout the 14 years I attended, many of who I model my own current teaching practice after. From my Kindergarten teacher teaching me to love nature and stay inquisitive, to my Grade 5 teacher who taught me I am greater than the setbacks I might face and to always keep my head held high, to my Grade 9-12 history teacher who found ways to captivate my easily distractible brain. I think back fondly on these teachers, and many other teachers I had the luck of having through the years, who went beyond the curriculum to learn about me as a person to help me navigate school (academically, emotionally, and socially). The skills and knowledge I learned, as well as the evolution of who I am now, is a true testament to what Branksome offers.
It's hard to think about one aspect of Branksome that I loved best -- clubs, sports, Spirit Week, Clans, Branksome Green, Big-Sister/Little-Sister all were favorite parts of my time at BH. I to this day carry the same sense of pride being a "Branksome Girl" as I did when I attended. It is this pride that made me come back to work in the Junior School when completing my Masters of Education at the University of Toronto and why I continue to maintain my connection through my time on the Branksome Hall Alumnae Association.
Gr. 2 (current) — My daughter loves Branksome Hall so much, I remember clearly she told me Branksome Hall and the teachers are the best school in the "universe" at her 1st day of school when she just moved from another school to this school, it made me so thankful and passionate to hear that... She loves everything at BH, the friends, all the activities, the teachers and the meals. She and our whole family are so proud to be members of the Branksome community.
We do appreciate BH has provided a very good learning environment for the kids, helped my girl to explore new skills and passion in different areas, and helped her to build up confidence and skills such as how to manage emotion control, and social and leadership skills. She loves to go to school every day and misses her school a lot during holidays.
"Branksome Hall’s commitment to academic excellence, global education, and well-being is something I deeply align with. Branksome teaches girls the skills they need to thrive in a changing world, and I love that my own daughters will be attending the school."
