(5) Student Experience

When I first arrived at Prestige School – Toronto Campus in Grade 9, I had just moved from Korea and could not speak English at all. It was overwhelming at first, but every teacher was incredibly kind and patient. They helped me step by step, making sure I understood my lessons and encouraging me to practice speaking every day. Their support gave me the confidence to improve; now, I can speak English fluently. The small class sizes and personalized attention made a huge difference in my learning experience. I truly love how much the school values each student’s success and well-being. The welcoming environment made it easy to adjust, and I always felt like I belonged. I wish I had known before coming to Prestige School how much support was available for international students. I was nervous about fitting in and keeping up with my studies, but the teachers and classmates made me feel comfortable from the start. The school provides a strong academic foundation while also encouraging extracurricular involvement, which helped me grow both academically and personally. If I could change one thing, I would love to see more structured after-school programs, especially for students learning English. More opportunities to practice language skills outside of class would be beneficial. Still, my experience at Prestige School has been incredibly positive, and I am grateful for the education and support I have received here.

(5) School Leadership

School leaders, including headmasters, guidance counselors, and teachers, play a vital role in fostering a positive and productive learning environment, demonstrating their commitment to student success and well-being. They excel in providing guidance and support, helping students navigate academic and personal challenges, and creating a safe atmosphere where students feel encouraged to express themselves. Their dedication to academic excellence is evident as they tailor their teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles. Additionally, they work to build a strong sense of community among students, staff, and parents. However, there is room for improvement, particularly in enhancing communication about available resources and opportunities, as well as increasing focus on mental health initiatives and individualized support for students facing challenges. Overall, their hard work and dedication have a lasting impact on students' lives and deserve to be recognized and appreciated.

(5) Teaching

I believe that teachers generally balance their expectations well, pushing us to reach our potential while offering the support we need to succeed. Most of the time, I feel confident about what they expect from us, as they communicate their goals clearly and provide us with the necessary guidance to achieve them. When teachers talk about success, I think they envision us excelling academically and growing as curious, resilient, and capable of critical thinking. They aim for us to develop a love for learning and the skills to navigate challenges in life. This positive vision encourages us to set high standards for ourselves and to understand that success is not only about grades but also about personal growth and the impact we can have on our community. Overall, their approach inspires and motivates us to embrace our educational journey enthusiastically.

(5) Academics

Working on these assignments has been a thoroughly positive experience. The work is neither too easy nor excessively difficult; instead, it strikes a balance that challenges me just enough without causing frustration. Each task encourages creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and practical application of new concepts. I appreciate how the assignments are designed to gradually build my skills, ensuring I understand the material deeply. This learning approach motivates me to excel academically and equips me with tools that will be useful in future professional settings. The methods and techniques I learn here will likely benefit me throughout my career and daily life. Overall, I believe the work is good, engaging, and highly beneficial. It consistently inspires continuous growth and improvement.

(5) Extracurriculars

I’m really into sports, so I was glad to see so many opportunities to get involved. I joined the basketball team, soccer team, table tennis team, and badminton team, and each one was a great experience. Playing on different teams allowed me to improve my skills, stay active, and meet new people. The school offers a wide range of extracurriculars, so there’s something for everyone, whether they’re into sports, music, academics, or other interests. I think most students have enough to do and can find activities they enjoy. If I had to suggest something, it would be more casual or recreational leagues for students who want to play sports without the pressure of competition. Overall, I feel like the school provides a lot of great opportunities for students to get involved.

(5) Students

The students at Prestige School’s Toronto campus are a diverse, driven, and intellectually curious group. They come from various backgrounds but share a strong commitment to academic excellence and personal growth. The school fosters a close-knit, supportive community where students encourage one another to succeed, creating an environment that feels more like a welcoming town rather than an overwhelming city. Students who thrive at Prestige School are those who are motivated, disciplined, and eager to challenge themselves. The structured academic environment and small class sizes allow students to receive individualized attention, which benefits those who are proactive in their learning and willing to engage both inside and outside the classroom. While Prestige School provides excellent support systems, students who struggle with time management or adapting to high academic expectations may need some time to adjust. However, with the school’s dedicated teachers and staff, students who seek help can quickly find the resources they need to succeed. Inclusivity is a core value at Prestige School, and the warm, respectful atmosphere ensures that every student feels valued and supported. Whether through extracurricular activities, academic clubs, or peer collaboration, students quickly find a sense of belonging. The school’s emphasis on community and character development helps create a positive, enriching experience for all.

(5) School Life

If I were giving a tour of the school to a group of visitors, I’d start with the gym. Though it’s a relatively small space, it’s incredibly versatile and hosts a variety of sports activities. From basketball to volleyball, the gym is a hub where students come together to stay active, engage in friendly competition, and foster teamwork. It’s a great place to show visitors how the school promotes physical activity and school spirit. The size of the gym doesn’t limit its use – it’s designed to maximize every inch for a wide range of sports and recreational activities. The gym represents the school’s commitment to building an inclusive environment where students can develop academically, physically, and socially.

(5) Community

Yes, the school definitely feels like home to me. From the moment I stepped onto the campus, there was a sense of warmth and belonging. The teachers are approachable and always ready to support students, and my classmates are friendly and inclusive. It’s easy to build connections with others, and a strong sense of community makes it feel like a second home. I also feel that everyone, regardless of their background or interests, is made to feel included and appreciated. The school fosters an environment where diversity is celebrated, and there’s a constant effort to ensure that no one feels left out. Whether through group work, school events, or simple daily interactions, everyone is encouraged to contribute and be their true selves.

(5) School Location

At Prestige School, most students tend to stay on campus throughout the day. Although one student enjoys stepping off campus to the plaza beside the school for lunch, that’s more of an exception than the rule. The school’s lunch offerings are so good, nice, and delicious that most students prefer to dine in the familiar, welcoming environment of the campus cafeteria. The food is carefully prepared to satisfy various tastes and is a big hit among students, providing them with a nutritious and satisfying break during the busy school day. This positive dining experience and the vibrant campus life encourage most students to remain on campus, ensuring they’re part of a lively and connected community. Overall, it’s ideal.

(5) Admissions

The admissions process at Prestige School was really good. It was straightforward and organized, with clear instructions on what needed to be submitted. I remember gathering my documents and filling out the application form, which felt like an exciting step toward becoming part of the community. The process didn’t feel too stressful – more like a positive experience, as I could already imagine myself at the school. My advice for anyone planning on applying would be to make sure everything is complete and on time, and don’t hesitate to ask questions if you’re unsure about anything. Looking back, I realize how helpful it is to stay organized during the process, something I didn’t fully appreciate at first. Overall, it was a smooth and encouraging experience.
