MESSAGE FROM THE LEADERSHIP

We asked Olga Margold, Principal at Prestige School - Toronto Campus for their message.

They offered insights into their vision, values, and the principles that define their leadership style.

Olga Margold, Principal

Dear parents,

The dedication of our staff plays a huge role in the success of our students. Our close-knit community, made possible by small class sizes, ensures that each of our students receives an individualized education. You will never have to wonder how your child is doing; our teachers will tell you because they care.

Located in the diverse city of Toronto, Prestige School prides itself on a student body that reflects the multicultural city of Toronto. Our school boasts international students from all corners of the world, with some of our students speaking several languages. It is for this reason that Prestige School offers language courses as early as preschool. We want our students to be well equipped to thrive in today’s global economy.

However, academics are not enough to develop a well-rounded child. That is why we pride ourselves on our community. But what exactly is our school community? Our school community is the taste of every food imaginable during our International Café, the sound of ear-splitting cheers on Sports Day, the sight of our graduates walking proudly across the stage, diplomas in hand. It is the feeling of making a difference.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I urge you to browse our photo gallery. The smiling faces of our students will tell you much more than I am able to in a letter. We invite you to come and see us in action and would be happy to book you an appointment to discuss your own child’s educational needs.

Happy learning!

Olga Margold

Qualitative insights

These insights are based on conversations with parents, alumni, and school leadership. Handpicked and curated by our editor, they offer a close look at how the school is experienced and perceived by those who know it best.

They foster a supportive and family-like environment.

Observations from students and parents suggest that the supportive and family-like environment at Prestige School, fostered by attentive staff and an inclusive atmosphere, makes students feel cared for and encourages their personal growth.

I think the first reason to choose Prestige School would be you will not be alone. Whether you're shy or not, you will always find a person to talk to. If you're upset, people will see it, the teachers will see it, the staff will see it and they care about you so much. They will ask you, ‘How should I help you?’ or ‘Do you want me to give you advice? Do you want to tell us about your problems?’ The number one reason would be that they care about you a lot. Again, you're part of the family.... Finally, because it's a private school, it's smaller. Every single person is taken care of and they help every single student. They want to make sure that you've got it all going, that you've got all the courses you need, all the 40 hours of volunteering and everything. At Prestige, if you're missing something, they will tell you.
There is absolutely nothing I can say that I would like to be better in the school. I appreciate everything you're doing and I see you working very hard. If there is some issue they fix it very, very fast. I think that this approach is why our kids succeed in life because in all ages in the school, they see how the school works as a family, as a team. I’m absolutely happy at this stage and appreciate all you're doing for our kids.

They promote academic and personal success.

Testimonies from students and alumni reveal that the focused academic guidance at Prestige School, provided by dedicated educators, equips students with the advice and support needed to make informed decisions for their future academic and career paths.

At Prestige School they really do want to prepare you for the upcoming years that you're going to spend in college and university. Because it's a small private school, it's not too many people, compared to public schools. Our principal and vice-principal and the teachers, they give you advice if you don't know what you should do, what courses you should focus on, what courses you should or shouldn't take. They don't tell you what to do. They just give you advice so that you can think about it. And it helped me to choose the program that I went to, even though I'm still not sure if I belong there.
Friends, faculty, everybody at Prestige is very supportive. My advice for students would be to just reach out. What is really helpful is that if you have a dream and you really, really want to do something. Prestige School will get you there. They will help you achieve what you've been wanting to do for your life. You can always believe in yourself when you go to Prestige.
The first advice is to follow the school advice. I really believe, and I would say it one more time, that the school office is working very hard for my children's success. And they see it and they feel it. So this is the most important advice.

Engaging extracurricular activities are offered.

Student accounts highlight the diverse and engaging extracurricular activities at Prestige School, which create opportunities for social interaction and cultural exposure, adding a fun and enriching dimension to the school experience.

Prestige School is fun because there are a lot of outside-of-school activities. We had this really interesting thing. Once a year there is an international cafe and it's really interesting. You do it during lunch, you do it after school, and every year it's different people and you just get to know every single one of them. It's a lot of activities and it's fun. I liked it.
