This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Independence: Spending several nights away from home gives campers the chance to try new things and build their confidence. Campers develop their ability to care for themselves, work with others, and overcome challenges in an encouraging, supportive environment.
  • Curiosity: This nature-focused program aims to inspire curiosity, wonder, and a love for the natural world. Through our fun, engaging programming, campers will be introduced to concepts such as habitat types, local wildlife, and caring for the environment.

Our 3-night Session N program is a great introduction to overnight camp, especially for campers who may not have been away from home before - though many campers return for this special session for several years! As a nature-focused session, campers get the chance to participate in environmental exploration, natural crafts, and visits from guest instructors. Session N also includes classic camp activities like boating, swimming, rock climbing, and archery!

Small cabin groups of like-aged peers allow campers to develop lasting friendships, build their confidence, and be a part of our close-knit community. During Session N, our Leader-In-Training program graduates have the opportunity to volunteer as counsellors and, supported by our dedicated and caring staff, they love the chance to connect with campers and create special memories. Our counsellors are well-prepared to support campers through the experiences of being away from home, living with their peers, and trying new things.

During this session, campers will be scheduled for two morning activity periods each day with their cabin group - these include boating, land sports, archery, eco, arts & crafts, and more. In the afternoon, campers get a chance to follow their interests and sign up for activities - anything from exploring the wetlands to playing ga-ga ball. Before dinner, campers have an hour of free time, with the option to go swimming, boating, or rock climbing! After dinner there's some free time to play sports, read a book, or hang out with friends. The whole camp then joins together for Evening Program - like a campfire or wacky game! After a fun-filled day, campers wind down with an evening snack, getting ready for bed, and a daily "check-in" with their cabin group.
