This program is designed to build the following character traits:

Responsibility: Musical theatre helps children foster their inner talents, while building their skills including; singing, moving, art, production and set design. It also teaches them to be responsible to work independently and communicate as part of a team.
Courage: Our programs help children develop their ability to perform in front of small groups (family & friends), as well as on stage in front of large audiences. This helps build their confidence to let their personality shine through in public settings.

The Drayton Entertainment Youth Academy is thrilled to announce the newly expanded Musical Theatre Company! Now with a Junior (ages 8 – 13) and Senior (ages 14 – 18) company, performers will rehearse and train with industry professionals to stage a BRAND-NEW musical revue: Disney’s Dare to Dream JR.!

Celebrate 100 years of Disney magic by performing in this 60-minute, high-energy musical revue that follows a group of eager new recruits on their first day at the Walt Disney Imagineering Studio. As they embark on a journey of discovery, they learn how dreams—both big and small—can unite, inspire, and make the impossible possible.

Together, these 40 talented students will dive into a rehearsal process filled with heart, humour, and high-energy choreography. An exciting opportunity for students seeking advanced-level musical theatre training preparing numbers like Let It Go, Be Our Guest, Friend Like Me, Go The Distance and more!

Disney’s Dare to Dream JR. will take the stage for two performances only on January 18, 2026, at the Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge.

Rehearsals will take place separately for Junior and Senior Companies, leading to one unforgettable, collaborative performance experience.

Auditions for Dare to Dream JR. and Cinderella: The Panto will be held on July 13 at the Drayton Entertainment Youth Academy (145 Northfield Dr W, Waterloo).
