Entrance Scholarship (Academic)
Eligibility Details:
Students from Gr. 9 to 10 are eligible.
Fieldstone Entrance Scholarship is designed to attract and engage new students who demonstrate potential to enrich our school community and recognize students' excellence in academic and co-curricular activities. This merit-based programme will award candidates with outstanding achievements in either category - Art, music (violin), Mathematics, Sciences, and community services $6,500 up to 10,000 dollars toward their tuition fee.
I. Scholarship Criteria
a) Students must submit academic transcripts that show a high academic standing. Successful applicants typically have an overall average of an "A" or 80%+.
b) A resume outlines the candidate's achievements to date (1 page).
c) A 250-500 word (1-2 page, double spaced) personal statement explains how the candidate will contribute to the Fieldstone community. This statement should describe skills, accomplishments, and the cultural heritage that make the student "stand out."
d) Evidence of achievement (certificates, awards, articles, etc.) to support the resume and personal statement.
II. Terms and Conditions
Students receiving Fieldstone scholarship are to agree to and abide by the terms and conditions set forth below:
a) Attend school regularly and follow the student code of conduct;
b) Maintain an academic average of 80%+;
c) Actively participate and compete in awarded subject-related programmes.
III. Application Process
(a) Complete and email the application package along with the resume and Personal Statement to admissions@fieldstonekcschool.org with the subject line: Fieldstone Entrance Scholarship.
(b) Fieldstone School Scholarship Committee will inform the candidate of a decision within two weeks of receiving the application.
(c) Selected candidates will receive an invitation for an interview.
(d) Successful candidates will receive a Conditional Offer and a scholarship certificate to be used toward the tuition fee.
