Qualitative insights

These insights are based on conversations with parents, alumni, and school leadership. Handpicked and curated by our editor, they offer a close look at how the school is experienced and perceived by those who know it best.

There's rigorous and comprehensive academic preparation.

Comments from students, parents, and alumni highlight that La Citadelle's demanding academic program and broad course offerings instill essential university-readiness skills such as time management, exam preparation, and study techniques.

My daughter was also very happy with her academic marks, both here at La Citadelle, and at university. She did quite well, in a lot of the courses that she took. I think she had the foundation here that helped her with that.
The science courses really helped me prepare for university, and the fact that I think some of my high school exams were almost the same material as my first-year university exams. At one point, I could see how they overlapped.
A heavy workload at La Citadelle helped me learn how to prepare for university and how to manage my time. We had a significant amount of exams at La Citadelle, because of the number of courses we took. Up until Grade 10, I remember I used to have 10 courses, so that would mean 10 exams. And now in university, I only have five courses.
