Gr. 6 (current) — My experience at St. George's School has been amazing, and I truly feel like I couldn't have asked for a better place to grow and learn. The transition was smooth when I arrived in grade 6, thanks to the welcoming community and supportive teachers who made it easy to adjust. I love the range of activities here, especially the sports, arts, and leadership opportunities. The athletics at St. George's, with my passion for basketball, keeps me active and allows me to bond with my classmates and develop team skills. Music is another passion of mine, and playing the bass clarinet here has been such a rewarding experience, with ample support and opportunities to improve. Ultimately, I have no regrets about coming to St. George’s, as it will be a great fit for anyone seeking greater opportunities to challenge themselves and find ways to impact others as they become a balanced, well-rounded learner.

Gr. 7 (current) — Joining St. George’s in Grade 7, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing the unique and supportive culture that defines both the Junior and Senior Schools. One aspect of Saints that stands out is the strong sense of community, where students cheer each other on through challenges and learn together from setbacks. The school has given me opportunities in academics, athletics, and the arts that I am incredibly grateful for. I’ve enjoyed playing volleyball and being part of the band, where I’ve grown as a student with the guidance of dedicated teachers and mentors. These experiences have allowed me to build meaningful relationships with teammates, coaches, and teachers who are always willing to provide support and encouragement. At Saints, there’s a genuine focus on helping each student reach their potential, creating a space where we can thrive not only as learners but as well-rounded individuals.

Gr. 8 (current) — Since joining St. George’s School in Grade 8, I’ve developed a deep appreciation and affection for everything this school has to offer. The weekend boarding house events have given me a chance to unwind, bond with friends, and create memories that will last a lifetime. The unique courses here have ignited my passion for learning, with engaging topics and inspiring teachers who make each class an adventure. I feel fortunate to be part of a community where I am constantly supported, whether by friends, teachers, or mentors. These friendships have been invaluable, and the time spent with my classmates has enriched my school experience beyond academics. Additionally, the numerous opportunities available at St. George’s, whether in academics, extracurricular activities, or personal growth, have been transformative, allowing me to explore my potential and challenge myself in ways I never thought possible.

Gr. 1 (current) — I love everything about St. George's School. As a lifer, which means I've been at Saints for all 12 years, I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to gain experiences in athletics, the arts, and academics. I have played competitive basketball, volleyball, and ultimate at Saints, developing unique relationships with my teammates and coaches. I've been taught by incredible band directors throughout my 7 years playing the bass clarinet in the Music Program at Saints. In my academic work, I feel supported by my teachers, and am able to genuinely connect with them inside the classroom and around the school. Whenever I need help understanding important topics in a course, or have questions for my teachers, they never hesitate to make the time to help me with whatever I need.

Profile of David Young, Head of St. George's School

"A boy should graduate confident, and to be confident, he needs to be able to express the fullness of who he is, and that's made up of many different parts. And how do we develop a culture that already does that really well here, which is to celebrate the fullness of each of our identities, knowing that if we do that well, the chances of a positive impact that society needs, that we feel, go up."
