    About comedy and improv camps

    What could be more fun than making jokes, practicing and participating in improvisation, and interacting with fellow aspiring comics? Camps feature trained coaches and experienced comics who help kids develop acting and theatrical skills. Put yourself out there, drastically develop and improve your self confidence, and learn how to face down public speaking jitters. 

    The benefits of comedy camps

    Not everyone who attends comedy camp will have a Hollywood career in their future, but there are many obvious benefits to spending time at comedy camp. Kids and parents hesitant to try it should make the leap!

    Comedy camp develops kids' boldness, courage, bravery, and self-confidence. It’s obvious that getting up in front of others requires boldness and courage. At camp, you’re in a group of peers facing the same anxiety, and you’ll all share together in the experience. You may be the one who’s the first to volunteer, or you’ll see other kids putting themselves out there, improvising in front of others and learning on the fly. You’ll learn from others as well as yourself. 

    You’ll develop creativity, spontaneity and the increased ability to think on your feet. All camps offer kids opportunities to act independently and learn things on their own. Improvising with others, in a group, or in front of others offers multiple opportunities to learn. You’ll think on your feet, interact with others, respond to, and get responses from others. All kids have a natural creative spark, and many explore this on their own in writing or drawing, etc. When you develop your creativity in a group with others, you encounter others’ unique spontaneity and creativity. You’ll discover new things about yourself by watching others unleash their own unique creativity.
