Summer Camp

Explorations is a not-for-profit camp, which means that all of your camp fees go directly towards the educators and equipment. They have decades of experience running summer campers, with a strong reputation for safety. Founded by McGill to offer exceptional learning in Montreal, Explorations summer camp will boost your child's intellectual curiosity.

Campers engage in a wide range of activities, with distinct programs at each level. The youngest campers are led through multidisciplinary activities that combine arts and science. For example, they might learn about puffer fish, and then build their own fish that expands with vinegar and baking soda. It's an artistic craft with a lot of room for creativity as they make their fish, and they learn about both chemistry and biology.

Older campers get to choose their activities, selecting the specialties that they find most appealing. So campers can pursue either arts or technology, or a mix of both.

Explorations Summer Camp Arts Activities typically include:

• traditional arts like drawing and painting
• tactile arts like pottery and fashion design
• performance arts like comedy and moviemaking
• digital arts like animation and electronic music production

Explorations Summer Camp Tech Activities typically include:

• hands-on production of robotics and electronics
• video game design with pros from the gaming industry
• working with AI tools to generate awesome unique productions
• engineering, woodworking and camper-led creation courses

Explorations also has unique sports, such as fencing (sword fighting), and social activities like Dungeons and Dragons. Each year they offer some new activities and refresh the most popular activities of the previous years. The full activity list for each summer is usually available in March.
