This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

Curiosity: Our goal at YMCA Camp Pine Crest is to provide a safe and unique environment for children to push themselves out of their comfort zones, disconnect from technology, learn, socialize and grow. All while discovering the world around them.
Responsibility: Campers will have the opportunity to participate in activities like swimming, archery, canoeing, rock climbing and so much more while building upon their experience of being away from home.

Our three day, one-week and two-week programs are the quintessential Pine Crest experience for campers. In these programs, we focus on introducing overnight camp to our youngest campers (5-7) all they way up to skill mastery and relationship building for our oldest overnight campers.

Over the course of this program there are plenty of opportunities to learn and develop skills in daily lessons. Furthermore, campers will develop incredible bonds with their cabin mates and counsellors by spending time with them each day in programs, at meals, and on a canoe trip.

Every two week cabin group will go on a canoe trip that ranges from one to four nights in length. The length of your camper’s trip is based on their age. Available for Bantam (7–9-year-olds), Junior (9–11-year-olds), and Pioneer (12–13-year-olds) campers.

All programs are focused on helping campers develop confidence and independence, YMCA values and taking leadership.
