They have a strong support network and enduring friendships.

Observations from alumni and students suggest that the enduring connections and strong support network at Metropolitan Preparatory Academy help foster long-lasting relationships and a sense of continuity even after graduation.

In university, I was able to keep in touch with the teachers that I was closest to at Metropolitan Preparatory Academy. It feels like a safety net for me because I have a support system, even after graduating from Metro Prep. The same thing goes with all of my friends. Just this morning, I was FaceTiming for two hours with my best friend, just catching up and talking. Every time we have a break, everyone gets back together, and we all hang out. You really do feel like you build that support network at Metro Prep. I find this quality evident in everyone who's graduated from Metro Prep, the ability to handle difficulties and obstacles that come your way because of the independence you've learned at school.
I maintain the relationships I built at Metro Prep. I still feel close to the teachers. I know that whenever I return, the connection with the faculty will remain the same.
The fact that Metro remains a family even after you graduate is what stands out the most in my opinion. I remember being in grade seven, sitting in class and an old student walking into the class and the teachers face lighting up because they were so excited to see a student from the past. Throughout my years at Metro this happened more and soon I got to know the alumni. Being an alumni now, I love going back to visit and see the younger grades, knowing that they are getting the education I got and get to experience all the Metro has to offer. The parents are involved in the school life, being a student there, I got to know my fellow classmates' parents. I do keep in contact with many of the students who went there during my time at Metro. They are all like my brothers and sisters and although our lives are very different now, I know that they are always people I will have in my life and I am immensely grateful for them all. We all grew up together in a sense, and we will continue to grow together.
